Advent Bible Reading Plan for Families

This plan gives a family one Bible reading a day from December 1 to Christmas Day. Each daily page names the passage to open in your Bible and prints the key verse. Then there are two questions, a simple one for little ones and a "Go deeper" one for older kids and adults, so the whole table can take part in the same conversation.

The 25 days fall into five weeks: Hope, Peace, Joy, Love and Christ. These match the candles on the Advent wreath, and the candle guide gives each one its own verse. At the bottom of every day there is space to write what stood out, a short family prayer with room to add your own, and four boxes to tick: read it, talked about it, prayed together, lit the candle.

For the kids there are verse cards to cut out, one for each day, and a countdown chart where they color a star after each reading. A prayer list with an "answered" column and a page for looking back on the season close the set. The readings use the King James Version throughout.

Choose Actual size (100%) when printing. The daily pages are fine on plain printer paper. For the verse cards, use card stock and cut on the dashed lines. The daily pages can go in a ring binder once punched, or you can staple them as a booklet.
