Editable Family Christmas Letter

A Christmas letter is easier to write when each person gets their own short section. This template has room for up to six people or pets, each with a name and a few sentences of news, between an opening paragraph and a closing one. A highlights box takes up to five short lines, such as the best trip of the year or how many teeth were lost.

Add up to three photos from your phone, or use one large photo, or none. Each photo fills its frame, and a slider lets you zoom in. If the letter runs long, the text and photos get smaller first, and only if it still doesn't fit does it continue onto a second page.

There are three designs. Newspaper has two columns, a masthead and a "year in brief" box. Classic Holly has a script title, a gold frame and holly in the corners. Modern has a deep green band and round photos. You type on our website, the preview changes as you go, and you download a PDF to print as many copies as your list needs.

In the print dialog, set the scale to Actual size (100%). Plain printer paper is fine for a big batch, and matte paper of 28 to 32 lb (105 to 120 gsm) makes the photos look better. Folded in thirds, the letter fits a standard envelope or slips into a Christmas card. Sending lots of letters? Take the PDF to a copy shop.
