2027 Vintage Botanical Calendar

Each month opens with a plant plate drawn the way old botany books were engraved: sepia line work, fine hatching for shade and flat color that looks tinted by hand, with the Latin name and a plate number. The year runs from the Christmas rose in January through snowdrop, tulip, lavender and sunflower to holly in December.

Under the plate sits a month grid across the full width of the page, with large date boxes and shaded weekends. There's a notes area, and small calendars of the month before and after sit alongside it. Holidays aren't marked, so you can write in the ones you keep.

Every file holds both week layouts. Pages 2 to 15 start on Sunday and pages 16 to 29 start on Monday, and each section has a 2027 year at a glance, the twelve months and a 2028 year at a glance. The last page lists important dates by month.

Choose Actual size (100%) in the print dialog and print only the Sunday or the Monday section. The linen tone fills the whole page, so run one test page first. If your printer leaves a white edge or runs low on ink, switch to the white paper file, where the plates keep their colors. Matte card stock of 32 lb (120 gsm) or more makes a sturdy wall calendar; punch two holes at the top or clip the pages to a clipboard. For A3, print the A4 file with "Fit to page" turned on.
