2027 Moon Phase Calendar

This calendar draws the moon for all 365 nights of 2027. The year opens with a single-page chart of every night, printed once on white and once as a dark navy poster. A key dates page follows, listing the 12 full moons with their traditional names and times, the 13 new moons, the equinoxes and solstices, and the five eclipses with where each can be seen.

Each month shows a small moon in each date box, along with the date and time of the new moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter. Weekends are shaded, and there is a column down the side for notes. The twelve months come twice, once starting on Sunday and once on Monday, so you print whichever suits you. At the back, a moon log for the 13 lunar cycles of the year has room to write at each new and full moon.

The times are printed for your time zone, since a phase near midnight can land on a different date elsewhere. There are four files: US Eastern and US Pacific on Letter, and UK and Ireland or Central Europe on A4 with a 24-hour clock. 2027 has an annular solar eclipse on February 6, a total solar eclipse on August 2 that crosses Spain, North Africa and Egypt, and three penumbral lunar eclipses, all marked on the calendar. Times come from the US Naval Observatory and NASA eclipse tables.

In the print dialog, set the scale to Actual size (100%). The dark poster uses a lot of ink, so print it at a print shop or use the light chart instead. Card stock of 120 gsm (32 lb) or heavier makes a sturdy wall calendar.
