Editable Gift Certificate

The certificate has your business name at the top (or your own name for a personal gift), a short line under it, a title such as "Gift Voucher" and an optional message of a line or two. Below that come rows for To, From, the amount or service, the date it's valid until and a certificate number. The amount can be a sum of money or a service like "One 60-minute massage". The bottom edge holds your terms and a contact line.

Businesses can number their certificates. Type a starting number such as 0101 and print 1, 2, 4 or 10 sheets, and each certificate gets the next number in order. Leave To, From or the amount empty and those rows print as lines to fill in by hand at the counter, or you can leave the empty rows off.

Choose Actual size (100%) in the print dialog, then cut on the crop marks. Card stock of 80 to 110 lb (216 to 300 gsm) gives the certificate some weight, and matte takes a pen well if you fill in rows by hand. On Black & Gold, write with a white or gold pen. That design has a dark background across the whole certificate, so it's best printed by a print shop or sent as the image. Need a big batch? A local printer can work from the print shop file.
