Save to PinterestAn empty pocket in a photocard binder can mean a card that's on its way, one you're trading for, or one still on your wishlist. These placeholders are cut to the size of a real photocard, 55 x 85 mm, and fill that pocket until the card arrives. Each one says Missing card, Coming soon or Save this spot, with lines for the name, set and version and boxes to tick for Ordered, Trade or Wish.
The placeholders come in six patterns: gingham, hearts, sparkles, checkerboard, stripes and clouds. Every pattern has a matching back page, so the card looks finished from both sides of the sleeve. The rest of the file sets up the binder itself, with covers, section dividers, spine labels, pocket labels, an index and page plans that map out which card goes where in 9-pocket and 4-pocket pages.
You get the whole set twice: once in soft pastels (lilac, pink, mint, peach and blue) and once in black, white and gray. The first page has a 50 mm scale bar, so you can check that your printer kept the cards at true size. Nothing here uses an artist's name or image, and all the artwork is original.
Choose Actual size (100%) and check that the scale bar on page 1 measures 50 mm. Card stock of 200 to 300 gsm (80 to 110 lb) makes firmer placeholders, tabs and spine labels. If you want patterned backs, print the backs page on the reverse and flip on the long edge. You can also glue two printed sheets together before you cut. A paper trimmer cuts straighter than scissors, and a 3 mm corner rounder gives the placeholders the rounded corners of a real card.
