Hangul Alphabet Flashcards and Workbook

This workbook is for complete beginners who want to read and write the Korean alphabet. It covers all 40 letters: 14 basic and 5 double consonants, 10 basic and 11 combined vowels. Each one comes with its Korean name, its romanized sound and its strokes numbered in order. Romanized sounds follow the official Revised Romanization of Korean.

You learn each letter on a tracing page with arrows for stroke direction, a step-by-step strip, dotted letters to trace and empty squares to write on your own. Then the pages move on to syllables: the six block shapes, a chart of 140 syllables, and exercises to build blocks from letters and split them apart again. The last exercise is reading 40 everyday words, one for each letter, with an answer key at the back.

The 40 flashcards print on both sides. The front shows the letter, and the back has its name, sound, stroke order and an example word with its meaning. A how-to-use page lays out a two-week study plan, and a progress tracker lets you tick off sound, writing and reading for every letter.

In the print dialog, set the scale to Actual size (100%). The flashcards are pages 22 to 31: print them on card stock, two-sided with "flip on long edge". Every front page is followed by its back page, which keeps the two sides lined up when you print double-sided. Without a duplex printer, print the fronts, put the stack back in the tray and print the backs, or glue each front sheet to its back sheet before cutting. Cut along the dashed lines; a paper trimmer gives the straightest edges.
