Personalized Name Tracing Worksheets

Every page in this workbook uses your child's name. It starts with a cover to color and a "This is my name" page, then moves to big tracing, dotted rows that fade until the lines are empty, and rainbow writing in a different color on each row. The letters in the name get their own pages, three letters to a page, as a capital and a lowercase to trace and then write alone.

After the tracing come the activity pages: fill in the missing letter, pick the name out from look-alike words, color its letters in a letter hunt, and dot the name with dot markers or stickers. There's a page to cut out the letters and glue them in order, a picture puzzle cut into strips, an "All about my name" page with space for a self-portrait, and a certificate at the end.

You type the first name (up to 12 letters) and choose capitals, lowercase or the name as typed. The tracing dots follow the middle of each letter, with a single-story a and g. A last name adds two pages, and cursive adds two more, for up to 22 pages. Hyphenated names and letters such as é, ñ or ö work too. Rainbow Sky, Garden Friends and Playtime are the three designs.

Choose Actual size (100%) when printing. Plain printer paper is fine for the tracing pages, and you can print them again whenever you need more practice. In a sheet protector, a page works with a dry-erase marker. The cut-and-glue letters and the certificate hold up better on card stock. Some pages need scissors, so help young children with the cutting.
